Hamden Covid-19 Call to Residents Update:
This is to keep you, the citizens, up to date. As of right now, the Town has 3 confirmed cases of Covid 19. By health experts, that equates to possibly 300 to 600 untested cases.
The Greater New Haven area is now the second largest area of Connecticut with 89 positive cases.
Using the experts math, that means a possibility of 20,000, untested cases in our area. The Governor and the Mayor are both imploring people to absolutely stay home and use common sense.
Please limit contact with any groups, not just groups with certain number limits. This is especially true of our population over 70.
Also, Mayor Leng is asking any business that have access or ownership of protective equipment including masks, gloves, gowns, ventilators, or anything else that may be helpful to our hospital, public safety, or regular town workers, please contact him a cleng@hamden.com
