“We are pleased to expand our collaboration with the Town of Hamden that began last summer with community COVID testing,” said Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center CEO Michael Taylor. “It is through these types of partnerships and spirit of cooperation that we have been able to effectively respond to the health care needs of our communities during these challenging times.”
Hamden Mayor Curt Balzano Leng agreed, saying, “Like other municipalities across the state, we are working tirelessly to find ways to support and protect our residents through the pandemic. We are proud of the strides we are making on behalf of our communities in collaboration with the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center.”
The health center and town officials encourage residents to continue taking steps to prevent and slow the spread of the virus through social distancing and wearing a mask. They also recommend:
- Frequent hand washing, for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Covering coughs and sneezes with a sleeve or a tissue and throw it in the trash.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
