Hamden Experiences First COVID-19 Fatality
Mayor Urges Residents to Act Smart & Remain Safe
HAMDEN, Conn. – March 31, 2020
A statement from Mayor Leng:
"I very much regret to announce that we have received word from QVHD that a Hamden resident has died as a result of the COVID-19 virus. No patient demographic information is available at this time. As a community, our thoughts, shared sadness and prayers are with the family of our departed resident and with everyone suffering from this disease.
Please take this seriously. Please stay away from others. Please call your doctor and Yale’s COVID Hotline at 833-ASK-YNHH if you feel any symptoms or have health questions. We can reduce additional senseless loss of life for our families, friends and neighbors, but we need to do it together and take actions right now.
May God bless you and your families, please be safe and be smart."
